• Old School Luchador Celebrates His Birthday

Old School Luchador Super Caló (Real name: Rafael García) celebrates his birthday today.

After his debut in 1990, he joined the famous AAA (Asistencia Asesoría y Administración) promotion in his home country of mexico, where he became a regular star during the 90s.

North american wrestling fans will mainly remember Super Caló for his time in Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling from 1996 until 1999.

Nowadays he’s semi-retired, which means he’s still wrestling every now and then for special occasions.

• Old School WCW Veteran Would Have Celebrated His Birthday

Today would have been the birthday of Old School WCW Veteran Maxx Muscle (Real name: John Czawlytko).

After training at the famous WCW Power Plant, John gained some experience on the weekly TV shows in 1993 & 1994 as “Big Bad John”

In 1995 he was repackaged as a bodyguard for Diamond Dallas Page, called Maxx Muscle.

The 2 broke up in 1996 and briefly feuded with each other in 1997, before Maxx was released from World Championship Wrestling.
