• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (February 23, 2002) – XPW Freefall
On this day in Pro Wrestling history on February 23, 2002, Xtreme Pro Wrestling held ‘XPW Freefall’ at the Grand Olympic Auditorium in Los Angeles, California.
This event featured ECW Legend New Jack literally trying to kill Vic Grimes by throwing him off the Scaffold in a way that he would miss the ring and die, in order to get revenge for Vic screwing up their fall at ECW Living Dangerously 2000 two years earlier, which caused permanent blindness in New Jack’s right eye.
Despite New Jack attempting to throw his opponent to land outside the ring, Vic Grimes was lucky and landed on the ring-ropes that bounced him back into the ring. He survived the incident with several injuries.
