• Old School WCW Veteran Celebrates His Birthday

Old School WCW Veteran Firebreaker Chip (Real name: Curtis Thompson) celebrates his birthday today.

Firebreaker Chip used to wrestle for Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling in 1991 & 1992 as one half of the tag team ‘The Patriots’ (aka ‘WCW Patriots’) with his tag team partner Todd Champion.

Before his WCW days, he worked briefly as a World Wrestling Federation enhancement talent in 1988, doing jobs on weekly TV Shows to WWF Superstars like Bad News Brown and The Ultimate Warrior.

• Old School WWF/ECW Veteran Celebrates His Birthday

Old School WWF/ECW Veteran Tony DeVito (Real name: Anthony F. DeVito) celebrates his birthday today.

DeVito wrestled for the World Wrestling Federation as an enhancement talent from 1992 till 1996 and later in his career became a member of ‘The Baldies’ in Paul Heyman’s Extreme Championship Wrestling.

The last time we saw him on television was in 2006 when he appeared on 2 ECW on ScyFy (WWE’s version of ECW) shows, first as Macho Libre, then as a faux preacher, both times to get destroyed by ECW Original The Sandman.

• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (January 20, 1998) – A WWWF Legend Passed Away

On this day in 1998 we lost Old School WWWF Legend “Big” Bobo Brazil (Real name: Houston Harris) at the age of 73 after a series of strokes.

Bobo wrestled for several territories during his career, just like the World Wide Wrestling Federation, Big Time Wrestling, Jim Crockett Promotions, World Wrestling Association, and Championship Wrestling from Florida.

The former WWWF U.S. Heavyweight Champion and former World N€gro Heavyweight Champion was inducted into the WWF Hall of Fame (now known as WWE Hall of Fame) in 1994 by his friend “The Big Cat” Ernie Ladd.

REST IN PEACE BOBO BRAZIL!
