• Old School WWF Legend Would Have Celebrated His Birthday

Today would have been the birthday of Old School WWF Legend Mr. Perfect (Real name: Curt Hennig).

After winning the AWA World Heavyweight Championship in 1987, Curt joined the World Wrestling Federation in 1988, where he became known as Mr. Perfect.

After a successful run with the WWF until 1993 and on-off non-wrestling appearances in 1994, 1995 & 1996, Hennig joined the rival promotion, Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling in 1997, wrestled for them till 2000, before he returned home to the WWF in early 2002.

Curt was the son of Old School AWA Legend Larry “The Axe” Hennig and the father of WWE PG-era wrestler Curtis Axel.

The former Intercontinental Champion passed away in 2003 at the young age of 44, but he keeps on living in the hearts of the Old School WWF/WCW fans.

In 2007 he was posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by his old friend, baseball legend Wade Boggs.

• Old School WWF Veteran Celebrates His Birthday

Old School WWF Veteran The Warlord (Real name: Terry Szopinski) celebrates his birthday today.

Warlord joined the World Wrestling Federation in 1988 as one half of the famous NWA Tag Team ‘The Powers of Pain’.

He then became a singles wrestler in 1990, managed by Slick and later wrestled his final WWF match in April 1992.

In his last major run, he was reunited with his Tag Team partner The Barbarian in Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling, but in a bad booking decision they were put under masks and called The Super Assassins, thus hiding their true, famous & established personas, instead of just bringing them back as The Powers of Pain.

To this day The Warlord still accept independent wrestling bookings every now and then, where he still teams up with his long-time Tag Team partner.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WARLORD!

• Old School WWF Referee Celebrates His Birthday

Old School WWF Referee ‘Dangerous’ Danny Davis celebrates his birthday today.

Danny Davis worked as a World Wrestling Federation referee from 1981 until 1987 and again from 1989 till he retired in 1995.

In between those 2 periods of time as a referee, Davis was (in storyline) suspended by WWF president Jack Tunney and actually worked as a wrestler.

Danny even wrestled at WrestleMania III, where he teamed up with The Hart Foundation against the team of The British Bulldogs & Tito Santana, and also competed in the battle royal at WrestleMania IV.

In 2010 he was inducted into the ‘New England Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame’ but has yet to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
