• Old School Wrestling Celebrity Celebrates His Birthday

Old School Wrestling Celebrity & Basketball Hall Famer Shaquille O’Neal celebrates his birthday today.

The NBA Legend is a lifelong professional wrestling fan and had several appearances for various promotions over the years, such as Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling, Total Nonstop Action (now known as iMPACT Wrestling) and World Wrestling Entertainment (fka WWF).

O’Neal, who’s a personal friend of Hulk Hogan, presented the WCW World Heavyweight Championship belt to the Hulkster, after the main event of the ‘WCW Bash At The Beach 1994’ pay-per-view.

Shaq was seen in the crowd during the Attitude Era and was even allowed backstage with the WWF Superstars.

The former L.A. Lakers MVP served as the WWE RAW guest host in 2009 and joined his buddy Hulk Hogan during a backstag segment on TNA iMPACT in 2012, but had his first ever professional wrestling match in 2016, when he was a surprise entrant in the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at the WWE WrestleMania 32 PPV.

• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (March 6, 2004) – Old School WWF Veteran Passed Away

On this day in 2004, we lost Old School WWF Veteran Hercules Hernandez (Real name: Ray Fernandez) at the age of 47 due to heart disease.

Hercules wrestled for the World Wrestling Federation from 1985 till he left in 1992.

He was originally managed by “Classy” Freddie Blassie, but Slick took over the contracts of Blassie’s entire stable in 1986, before selling Hercules to Bobby “The Brain” Heenan a few months later.

His most famous matches were probably against “The Immortal” Hulk Hogan for the WWF World Title on an episode of Saturday Night’s Main Event in 1986, and wrestling The Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania IV in 1988.

• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (March 6, 2007) – Old School WWF Veteran Passed Away

On this day in 2007, we lost Old School WWF Veteran Bad News Brown (Real name: Allen Coage) at the age of 63 due to a heart attack.

Bad News Brown joined the World Wrestling Federation in early 1988 and left shortly before the 1990 Survivor Series PPV, where The Undertaker ended up being his replacement. The rest is history.

His most famous rivalries during his time in the WWF were against “The Macho Man” Randy Savage, Jake “The Snake” Roberts and “Rowdy” Roddy Piper.

• Old School WWF Veteran Would Have Celebrated His Birthday

Old School WWF Veteran Killer Khan (Real name: Masashi Ozawa) would have celebrated his birthday today.

The 6ft 5in Puroresu Wrestler worked for several promotions during the 70s and 80s, such as New Japan Pro Wrestling, All Japan Pro Wrestling, Canadian Stampede Wrestling, and the World Wrestling Federation.

Killer Khan originally appeared in Vince McMahon Sr.’s WWF from 1980 to 1982, which included his feud with “The Eighth Wonder of the World” André The Giant in 1981, that culminated in the famous Mongolian Stretcher match.

He returned to the World Wrestling Federation for a few months in 1987 to feud with then WWF World Heavyweight Champion “The Immortal” Hulk Hogan.
