On this day in Pro Wrestling history on May 6, 1984, Fritz Von Erich’s World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW) held the ‘1st Von Erich Memorial Parade of Champions’ at the Texas Stadium in Irving, Texas.

This was the 1st out of 5 “Parade of Champions” events that were held every year from 1984 till 1988.

On this show The Crusher & Baron Von Raschke won the prestigious AWA World Tag Team Championship from “The Sheiks” Jerry Blackwell & Ken Patera.

• Old School WWF Tag Team Legend Celebrates His Birthday

Old School WWF/WCW Tag Team Wrestling Legend “Nasty Boy” Brian Knobbs (Real name: Brian Yandrisovitz) celebrates his birthday today.

Brian Knobbs was most famous as one half of the legendary Tag Team ‘The Nasty Boys’ with his partner Jerry Sags.

Together they worked for the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), the American Wrestling Association (AWA), World Championship Wrestling (WCW), Xcitement Wrestling Federation (XWF) & Total Nonstop Action! (TNA).

They teamed from 1985 till 1997 and then reunited again in 2001 and still team up to this day during occasional appearances on the independent scene.
