On this day in Pro Wrestling history on May 9, 1986, Bill Watts’ Universal Wrestling Federation held a televised House Show at the Sam Houston Coliseum in Houston, Texas.
The show featured pre-taped matches and interviews including several UWF Superstars.
The Blade Runners would eventually become very famous, highly successful singles wrestlers, known as The Ultimate Warrior (WWF) & Sting (NWA/WCW).

• Old School WWF Veteran Would Have Celebrated His Birthday
Today would have been the birthday of Old School WWF Veteran Bastion Booger (Real name: Mike Shaw).
Before Mike Shaw portrayed the gross but effective character of Bastion Booger in the World Wrestling Federation TV from 1993 to 1994, he had several other gimmicks, including Klondike Mike (territories), Makhan Singh (Calgary Stampede Wrestling), Norman the Lunatic (World Championship Wrestling), Trucker Norm (World Championship Wrestling) & Friar Ferguson (World Wrestling Federation).
Bastion Booger returned one last time during the 15th anniversary special episode of WWE Monday Night RAW in December 2007.

• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (May 9, 2020) – Old School WrestleMania Celebrity Passed Away
On this day in 2020, we lost Old School WrestleMania Celebrity Little Richard (Real name: Richard Penniman) due to bone cancer.
Old School Rock and roll Fans certainly remember his famous songs, like “Long Tall Sally”, “Lucille”, “Keep A Knockin’ and “Tutti Frutti”, that made Little Richard a huge Legend in the music business.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer ended up singing “America the Beautiful” at the beginning of the WWF WrestleMania X pay-per-view on March 20, 1994, which is what most Old School 90s Wrestling fans remember about him.
