6. Reason Behind WrestleMania Returning To New Orleans In 2018
As we noted before, WWE will be returning to New Orleans in 2018 for WrestleMania 34. Many other cities were considered to host WrestleMania 34 including the following:
– Minneapolis
– Philadelphia
– New York
Philadelphia was said to be the favorite, but New Orleans was selected because they offered a better money contract to WWE.
New Orleans was the host to WrestleMania 30 and the main highlights of the show were the opening segment between Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock, Brock Lesnar ending the undefeated WrestleMania streak of The Undertaker and Daniel Bryan winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the main event.
