Released WWE Wrestler Debuts In AEW-ROH

Former WWE NXT wrestler Oro Mensah of the Meta-Four faction made his debut in AEW-ROH tonight. He debuted under the name “Oro.” He had a 6-year run in NXT UK and NXT, before being released a few months back. He is a former NXT UK Tag Team Champion.

Before tonight’s Dynamite, AEW taped matches for ROH TV. Below are the spoilers:

– Jay Lethal def. Alex Zayne

– Tomohiro Ishii def. Oro

AEW Dynamite Results – MJF Is Out of the Hurt Syndicate

– Matthew & Nicolas Jackson def. The Outrunners to advance to the next round of the AEW Tag Team Championship #1 Contender’s Tournament

After the match, AEW Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada congratulated them on their win. Swerve Strickland took out The Elite with a Swerve Stomp.

– MJF celebrated his Oscar worthy performance in Happy Gilmore 2, and declared he will soon become a 2-time AEW World Champion. Shelton Benjamin interrupted and said he knows MJF gave him his watch from Temu and gave MJF a thumbs down. Shelton declared that MJF is out of The Hurt Syndicate.

– Christian Cage acknowledged his wrongdoings in his attempt to become AEW World Champion. Christian said that Adam Copeland told him to find himself at All In, and told Copeland to get off his high horse because he did horrible things as well to get his championships throughout his career and become the man he is today. Christian said The Patriarchy made their decision at All In, and now he disowns all of them. The Patriarchy came out and attacked Christian and smashed his head in with two steel chairs.

– “Hangman” Adam Page (c) def. Jon Moxley to retain the AEW World Championship

– Stokely Hathaway said he got Adam Copeland banned from the building tonight, and that The Hurt Syndicate committed an act of cowardice by attacking FTR after their match last week.

– ROH Women’s Champion Athena & Billie Starkz def. AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm & Alex Windsor

– MJF confronted Hangman Page backstage and said he wants an AEW World Title shot without having to use his contract. Page said if MJF wants a shot against him, he must stop ducking Mark Briscoe and defeat him first.

– Willow Nightingale challenges Thekla to a match on Thursday Night Collision.

– Mark Briscoe def. Ricochet

After the match, Briscoe called out MJF to face him right now. MJF appeared on the titantron and said they will face off in the main event of next week’s Dynamite. MJF attacked Briscoe from behind, but Hangman Page made the save.
