On last Saturday’s episode of AEW Collision, Tony Schiavone announced that WWE Hall of Famers Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat and Ric Flair would be in attendance for Blood & Guts at the First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina.

However, Flair did not appear on tonight’s broadcast. Steamboat was present and had a segment with FTR and Stokely Hathaway, who attempted to take him out before AEW World Tag Team Champions Brodido made the save.

According to the Wrestling Observer, Flair was at the venue, but only made a brief appearance for the live crowd. The Nature Boy left early because he was in significant pain from a recent rotator cuff tear.

AEW was forced to make changes to the show after Flair’s early departure. While it’s unclear exactly what was originally planned for him, the word going around is that he was going to do something related to the Steamboat/FTR segment.

AEW Blood & Guts Results – Ricky Steamboat Attacked, Jon Moxley Taps Out

Tonight’s Blood & Guts special edition of AEW Dynamite aired from the First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. Below are the complete results from the show:

Women’s Blood & Guts Match: TBS Champion Mercedes Moné, Megan Bayne, Marina Shafir & Triangle Of Madness defeated AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander, “Timeless” Toni Storm, Mina Shirakawa, Willow Nightingale, Jamie Hayter & Harley Cameron.

At the end of the match, Marina Shafir stomped her bare feet into shards of glass and used them to attack Mina Shirakawa before choking her unconscious. Toni Storm was restrained by the others and forced to watch, ultimately surrendering to save Mina and giving Moné’s team the victory.

– The Don Callis Family attacked Jurassic Express outside of the arena. The Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada came out of the bus. Don Callis said that Kenny Omega would return next week, so it would be the right time for Matt and Nick Jackson to announce if they will join the Family.

AEW World Championship Falls Count Anywhere Match: “Hangman” Adam Page (c) defeated Powerhouse Hobbs to retain the title.

After the match, Samoa Joe and Katsuyori Shibata attacked Page and called for the steel cage to be lowered. Eddie Kingston and HOOK came out to make the save.

Hangman then announced that he will face Joe in a Steel Cage Match at Full Gear.

– Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat was brought to the ring by Tony Schiavone. He began sharing old stories about his career, but FTR and Stokely Hathaway interrupted, mocking him and claiming they’d make history as 3-time AEW World Tag Team Champions at Full Gear. Stokely joked about wanting Randy Savage’s number so he could be at ringside for their matches. Dax Harwood bragged about learning from Steamboat, who fired back that he never taught him to be a jacka$$.

As Steamboat tried to leave, FTR attacked him and went for a Spike Piledriver, but AEW World Tag Team Champions Brodido came out to make the save. Steamboat punched Harwood and celebrated with Brodido to end the segment.

Men’s  Blood & Guts Match: Darby Allin, Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong & Mark Briscoe defeated The Death Riders.

Gabe Kidd showed up at the end of the match to pull Darby Allin away after PAC threw him off the top of the entrance ramp through two tables on fire. The match ended with Jon Moxley tapping out to Kyle O’Reilly on a pile of glass.
