• Saudi Arabia Has Requested A Huge Main Event At WrestleMania 43
WWE will reportedly hold WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia. It could be the first time The Grandest Stage Of Them All is hosted outside of North America.
It is expected that it will be a show with massive star-power. WWE could bring in a lot of legends to compete there as Saudi Arabia pays the company a massive amount for Premium Live Events and expects to see major names.
According to the Wrestling Observer, the Kingdom is pushing for a main event of The Rock against either WWE Champion Cody Rhodes or Roman Reigns.
Sources close to the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia confirmed this week that the show is official, and they claimed negotiations for The Rock were advancing and they believed the deal was close to being finalized.
The final payment amount for the Show Of Shows will be affected by whether or not The Rock is in the main event. The Final Boss could receive the highest payout a wrestler has ever received if he competes at the event.
There was speculation among fans that The Rock vs. Roman Reigns or Cody Rhodes would happen at WrestleMania this year, but The Great One did not compete at the event. His last match was in the main event of night one of WrestleMania XL, where he teamed up with Reigns to defeat Rhodes and Seth Rollins. Rock pinned Cody on that night.
• Tony Khan Wants WWE Legend Back In AEW
Chris Jericho has been on a hiatus from AEW programming since the April 9th episode of Dynamite, where he expressed his frustration towards Big Bill and Bryan Keith after losing the ROH World Championship.
Rumors have surfaced online in recent weeks that the former AEW World Champion’s contract with Tony Khan’s promotion is set to expire in December this year. On top of that, Jericho recently stated that he’d be open to a WWE return.
While speaking on The Torg & Elliott Show, AEW President Tony Khan made it clear that he wants the legend back in his promotion.
“Chris Jericho has been here since the very beginning. I have so much great respect for Chris Jericho. I would love to have Chris in AEW any time. We absolutely want Chris Jericho back in AEW, and hopefully soon. He’s been great with us and been with us since the first event. The very first AEW World Champion, and Chris is a huge part of the history in AEW and is still in great shape and a great wrestler.”
The Ayatollah of Rock ‘n’ Rolla left WWE in 2018 after competing in the Greatest Royal Rumble match.
