Law enforcement sources have revealed a new detail regarding the death of 2-time WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan, suggesting that he may have been a victim of medical malpractice. According to a police report from the Clearwater Police Department, an occupational therapist was present at Hogan’s Florida home when he stopped breathing.

The therapist told responding officers that Hogan’s phrenic nerve was allegedly “severed” during a recent operation, though it’s unclear whether this was a heart or neck surgery. The phrenic nerve is crucial for breathing, as it stimulates the diaphragm.

Sources told TMZ Sports that Hogan’s widow, Sky Daily Hogan, was the one who raised the alarm when he stopped breathing, as he did not have a chest-clenching episode. The 911 call was made at that time.

Conversations among officers discussing the therapist’s claims were reportedly captured on police body cam footage, and it is assumed that the initial conversation with the therapist was also recorded.

UPDATE ON THIS SITUATION

Sky Daily Hogan has confirmed that Hulk’s phrenic nerve was “compromised” during a recent surgery. She told TMZ Sports that an autopsy has been performed on Hogan’s body, but she declined to share the results. Sky also confirmed that Hogan’s body has not been cremated yet.

Clearwater Police Department revealed in a statement that investigation into Hogan’s death is still going on:

“We have been in communication with family members – including his son, Nick, and daughter, Brooke. The unique nature of this case has required us to interview multiple witnesses and seek medical records from a variety of providers, and our detectives continue to do that. All of this takes time.

The Hogan family has been appreciative of our efforts and our communication with them.”

“Somebody made a mistake and killed Hulk Hogan” – Bubba the Love Sponge said this yesterday

Radio shock jock Bubba the Love Sponge has reignited controversy by openly suggesting Hulk Hogan’s death was not natural, but the result of negligence or worse – and he’s daring Hogan’s legal team to prove him wrong. During his broadcast, Bubba doubled down on his belief that the circumstances surrounding Hogan’s passing don’t add up. He claimed that “somebody made a mistake and somebody’s covering up and somebody killed Hulk Hogan” – stressing that it is his personal opinion, but one he insists is grounded in information from people “within the investigative circle” who reached out to him anonymously.

Bubba said he had previously been dismissed as a “nut job” for warning as early as June 18th that Hogan’s health was dire. He now believes the official account of Hogan dying suddenly in his recliner is suspicious, pointing to the presence of Hogan’s wife Sky Daily, a nurse, and a physical therapist at the house when it happened.

Bubba singled out Hogan’s primary physician, Dr. Michael Fitzgerald Jr, who also signed off on the death investigation. According to Bubba, Fitzgerald has a reputation for aggressively prescribing opioids and has even been investigated in Florida for allegedly contributing to a patient’s overdose.

He argued that if Hogan died of an opioid-related issue, and Fitzgerald was both the prescribing doctor and the investigator of the death, there is an inherent conflict of interest:

“That’d be like the person who sold Matthew Perry ketamine being the one who investigated his death.”

Bubba further claimed that some pharmacies won’t even fill prescriptions written by Fitzgerald due to his reputation.

One of Bubba’s strongest complaints is that no autopsy was ordered despite Florida law giving the medical examiner broad authority to request one. He argued Hogan’s sudden passing, after appearing to recover and walk around his house just days earlier, clearly qualified as “suspicious circumstances.”

He named three parties who could currently demand an autopsy:

– Sky Daily (Hogan’s widow),
– The medical examiner
– The Clearwater Police Department.

Yet, according to Bubba, none have acted.

Bubba also blasted the Clearwater Police Department for allegedly refusing to release Hogan’s 911 call, body cam footage, or investigation report, calling the lockdown “fishy.” He openly questioned whether local law enforcement had been “bought and paid for by the Scientologists,” pointing out Sky Daily’s family ties to the church and Clearwater’s status as Scientology’s world headquarters.

Bubba repeatedly warned that if Hogan were cremated without an autopsy, it would only fuel conspiracy theories:

“The minute you cremate him without an autopsy, you validated everything I’ve said.”

He urged Sky Daily to request a private autopsy with toxicology for her children’s peace of mind, saying the results could even be kept out of the public eye if she wished.

Finally, Bubba issued a direct challenge to Hogan’s legal team:

– Serve him with a 770 notice (a Florida legal mechanism to silence defamatory speech) if he is wrong.

– Force him to stop talking by proving his claims false in writing.

“Until you do that… one of you out there killed him. And everybody’s in on the cover-up.”

Bubba the Love Sponge is not backing down. He alleges Hulk Hogan’s death may have been mishandled – blaming Hogan’s physician, questioning the lack of transparency from Clearwater PD, and even invoking Scientology’s shadowy influence.

For now, his claims remain unproven, but Bubba has made one thing clear: unless Hogan’s family or authorities order a transparent autopsy, he’ll continue saying “somebody killed Hulk Hogan.”
