• SmackDown Wrestler Is Back With WWE

SmackDown wrestler Santos Escobar is officially staying with WWE. According to a new report from PWInsider, Escobar has come to terms on a new deal with the company, ending uncertainty about his future. WWE management reportedly took his creative concerns into account during negotiations and presented him with a significantly improved offer, which he accepted.

Just days ago, reports from Fightful Select indicated that Escobar’s WWE contract was set to expire and that he was leaning toward leaving the company. At the time, sources said Escobar wasn’t focused on money or a guaranteed push. Instead, he wanted to ensure WWE had a clear creative direction for him moving forward.

Escobar was said to be reluctant to re-sign without a concrete plan for how he would be used, fearing he would be “spinning his wheels” and underutilized on television.

WWE officials appear to have responded directly to those concerns. Not only did they provide assurances about his creative future, but they also put forward a much larger financial offer than any of their previous proposals – a deal convincing enough for Escobar to stay.

Escobar, a second-generation luchador, joined WWE in 2020 after years of success wrestling internationally under the names El Hijo del Fantasma and King Cuerno. Before signing with WWE, he was a standout performer in AAA, CMLL, and Lucha Underground.

With his new deal finalized, Escobar is expected to return to WWE programming soon. While it’s unclear what creative direction the company has planned, the improved offer and assurances suggest WWE still sees long-term potential in him.

• Scarlett Popped Her Implant During WWE Match Earlier This Year

Scarlett shared on Chris Van Vliet’s Insight podcast that she once suffered a serious injury during a WWE dark (untelevised) match – popping one of her breast implants after being kicked in the chest.

She said she had been planning to replace her implants soon, joking about them possibly “popping in a match” – which ironically happened just two days later. Scarlett didn’t realize it at first but later noticed pressure in her chest and discovered one side looked different.

A doctor told her the X-rays looked like she’d been in a car accident, though she handled it without much pain. She was cleared to return and eager to get back to work shortly before her WWE departure.

Here’s what Scarlett said about her implants:

“I’m just going to get really just medical on this. I had saline implants. Think a ziploc bag of salt water. They need to be changed like tires. They were great. They’re better now.

But I knew that I need to get them replaced because I think it was about 12 years I’d had them. And it was a few days before I had that match.

I was telling Shotzi, I’m like damn I feel like I really need to get them redone. Like they don’t look as good as they used to. And I was like I’m just going to wait till I was like joking about I’m just going to wait till they pop in a match. Two days later they pop.

It was just a simple kick like right here. I’ve been kicked there a million times. That was the moment it just popped. Had no idea it happened. I just felt like a bit of a pressure. I get home, I show him. I’m like, ‘Hey, does one of these look different than the other one?’ Yeah. And then I went to medical.

So, it wasn’t painful. It just felt like a weird pressure. Just like a chest pressure. I went to the doctor, he’s like on the X-ray, ‘it looked like you’d been in a massive car accident.’ What? But I don’t know if I’m just really good with pain or what it is, but I was just walking around like LA until I got my surgery.

Just a bit of a pressure, but they’re like, ‘No, it looked like you were in a massive car accident.'”
