– Tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite kicked off with AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page and MJF facing off. Page said if MJF wants an AEW World Title match against him, he must use his Guaranteed Contract, or go back home a gutless coward. MJF said he’s going to prove Page is a fraud, and will use his Guaranteed Contract against Page at Forbidden Door for the AEW World Title.

After the match, Darby Allin attacked Wheeler Yuta and placed him in a body bag. Claudio Castagnoli saved Yuta and attempted to stomp on Darby’s neck with a Steel Chair, but Will Ospreay made the save. Ospreay proposed a Lights Out Steel Cage Match between The Death Riders and Ospreay & his allies at Forbidden Door.
– Alex Windsor, Willow Nightingale and Queen Aminata def. TBS Women’s Champion Mercedes Mone, Skye Blue and Thekla
After the match, AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm and Alex Windsor challenged Mercedes and ROH Women’s Champion Athena to a tag team match for next week.
– Will Ospreay announced that Hiroshi Tanahashi has joined him and Darby Allin against The Death Riders at Forbidden Door.
– Adam Copeland def. Stokely Hathaway via DQ
FTR tossed out their restraining order against Cope (Adam Copeland aka Edge) and beat him down, but Christian Cage made the save. The Patriarchy came out and went after Christian, but Cope helped Christian fight them off. This was Christian’s babyface turn. Cope & Christian reunited and shared a hug. Adam Copeland & Christian Cage vs. ROH TV Champion Nick Wayne & Kip Sabian was announced for Forbidden Door.
– A vignette was shown for Hook.
– Hiromu Takahashi, Brody King, Hologram and Tomohiro Ishii def. The Don Callis Family and The Young Bucks
AEW President Tony Khan tweeted the following after the match:
“Because of their attack on Justin Roberts tonight, the Young Bucks, Mr Instant Replay + Slick Nick, are fined $10,000 each!”
– Kazuchika Okada and Swerve Strickland came face-to-face ahead of their AEW Unified Championship match at Forbidden Door.
– Will Ospreay, Darby Allin, Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi and Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Gabe Kidd and The Young Bucks in a Lights Out Steel Cage Match was made official for Forbidden Door.
– Kyle Fletcher vs. Hiromu Takahashi for the TNT Championship will take place at Forbidden Door.
– AEW Trios Champions The Opps def. LFI
This was Samoa Joe’s return to AEW TV after his injury angle at All In: Texas.
– MJF attacked Hangman Page in the parking lot and vowed to break him at Forbidden Door.
