• Tony Khan Is A Big Fan Of Injured Wrestler

Jay White has been solid since joining All Elite Wrestling but hasn’t consistently appeared in the main event scene. Still, AEW President Tony Khan thinks highly of the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, according to the Wrestling Observer. White suffered a broken hand earlier this year, which forced AEW to take him off television. The injury was real, not storyline, leading to several adjustments backstage, including the possible cancellation of a planned heel turn for Jay.

The report mentioned White’s situation and that of his stablemate Juice Robinson, who is also sidelined with a broken fibula. “I don’t know when Juice Robinson or Jay are back. Juice is gonna be back soon, I know that, or ready to be back. I don’t know if he’ll be back but he should be ready soon. And Jay, I know Tony really likes Jay White, so I think that when Jay White is ready, he’ll be back. I would think it should be soon on him too. I mean, he broke his [hand] but that injury isn’t usually as long as this.”

While Jay and Juice remain out, The Gunns, also connected to the Bang Bang Gang, haven’t appeared on AEW programming since February. They aren’t injured, so their absence seems to be a creative choice.

• AEW’s Jake Roberts Calls WWE’s Upcoming Project “Foolish”

Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts has openly criticized WWE’s choice to reveal its behind-the-scenes workings in the upcoming Netflix series ‘WWE: Unreal’. The WWF Golden Era Legend didn’t hold back during his latest The Snake Pit podcast episode. Roberts was blunt about the series’ impact, saying, “I think it’s foolish. I don’t think that product will ever warrant enough money being made for the damage that it’ll do. So that’s just my own thoughts.” Earlier, he added with clear sarcasm, “Oh well, they’ve done everything else, and made money with it. They might as well do that too.”

Though Jake now works for AEW, he still maintains a WWE Legends contract, allowing him to appear in WWE 2K video games.

Netflix is releasing ‘WWE: Unreal’ in two parts. The first five episodes will premiere on July 29, with the remaining five coming out in early 2026. Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque is a key figure in the series and serves as its narrator. Additionally, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s team has been involved in reviewing the episodes that feature him.

• MJF Warns Ex-WWE Wrestlers: AEW Is No Place for Mediocre Performers

During an interview with TV Insider, MJF didn’t hold back while discussing what AEW President Tony Khan has learned running All Elite Wrestling – taking a pointed jab at former WWE talent who have jumped ship to AEW. MJF made it clear who he believes is the top star in AEW: himself. “[Tony Khan] has learned I’m his biggest star, which is why he pays me the big bucks. He understands what I bring to the table more than ever,” MJF said.

But the real heat came when he addressed the locker room mentality. Taking aim at ex-WWE wrestlers, MJF said, “We’ve had a lot of guys in the past come in and think they are going to be king sh*t just because they had their time in the sun for a millisecond in other promotions. That’s not how it f**kin’ works. It’s called All Elite Wrestling. Not All Average Wrestling. Not All Mediocre Wrestling. Not All… I’m going to show up, cash a check and expect to be World Champion wrestling. It’s All Elite Wrestling.”

MJF emphasized that AEW demands 110 percent from everyone. “Right now, everyone in that locker room is on the same page. We aren’t coming there to cash a check. If you think you’re going to come into my company and barely put in work, you’re out of your goddamn mind. You don’t belong here. So stay where you are and be miserable over there because you don’t belong swimming in the ocean of sharks that is AEW.”

MJF recently joined The Hurt Syndicate.
