1. nWo’s “Big Sexy” Kevin Nash
Based on the success of his Diesel Gimmick in the WWF, Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling gave Kevin Nash a contract with guarenteed money, something totally unheard of at that time (except for WCW’s Hulk Hogan & WWF’s Bret Hart).
He had the greatest success of his entire career when he would wrestle under his real name, as a member of the nWo, the New World Order.
Even after the nWo disbanded on WCW TV, he kept continuing the “Big Sexy” character, sometimes even still wearing nWo shirts, until WCW was sold to Vince McMahon in 2001.
Kevin Nash didn’t join the World Wrestling Federation tho, but rather chose to sit out his AOL-Time Warner contract.
He did join the WWF a year later when that contract was up.
