2. Update on The Undertaker’s Return Date
The Undertaker returned on the 900th episode of SmackDown Live to announce that WrestleMania will no longer define him, and that he’s back to take souls and dig holes!
This statement from The Phenom meant that Taker would be working more PPV events, but Taker hasn’t appeared on WWE programming since then.
The reason behind Taker’s absence is the long gap between SmackDown’s last PPV of 2016 (TLC 2016) and the first PPV of 2017 (Royal Rumble 2017).
Undertaker is expected to return to WWE programming in the first couple of weeks of January 2017 and current plan is for him to get involved in a feud with AJ Styles for the WWE World Championship.
