• Update On Bron Breakker’s Condition After SummerSlam

In the opening match of SummerSlam 2025 – Night 1, Roman Reigns and Jey Uso defeated Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, with Jey pinning Reed for the win. Fans in attendance noted that Bron was limping on his way to the back after the match and needed help.

While WWE has not confirmed anything officially, a source told Fightful Select that Breakker is scheduled to be evaluated and that the hope is the injury “won’t end up being bad.” Additionally, a fan who attended a photo-op with Breakker earlier today told Fightful Select that Breakker arrived about an hour late and was noticeably limping. Breakker was given a chair to sit for the entire session, and WWE staff urged workers to speed through the photos. The fan also noted that Bron’s knee looked swollen.

Breakker’s appearance later in the night at SummerSlam (for Rollins’ celebration) with his leg taped only fueled speculation that he may have suffered a legitimate knee injury. WWE has remained tight-lipped for now, but more information is expected following medical evaluation.

• Gunther Undergoing Surgery After SummerSlam Loss

In the main event of SummerSlam 2025 – Night 1, Gunther lost the World Heavyweight Championship to CM Punk. Gunther got busted open during the ending moments of the match. According to the Wrestling Observer, this was done to write The Ring General off WWE programming:

“I was told Gunther’s having surgery on his nose. I was told that a couple of days ago. It’s very clear from watching the finish that Gunther’s having surgery on his nose pretty quick because they shot the angle where, you know, it’s like he busted his nose.

So, that busted nose thing, that was 100% worked blood and planned. It was totally planned. So that was the cover for that.”

• “I was very much directionless” – Top WWE Star After Title Win At SummerSlam 2025

At SummerSlam 2025 – Night 1, Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair defeated The Judgment Day’s Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. During the ending moments of the match, Charlotte hit Raquel with a big boot, allowing Alexa to hit Roxanne with Sister Abigail for the win.

Liv Morgan tweeted the following about Roxanne & Raquel’s title loss: “Aw shucks.”

During the SummerSlam post-show, Charlotte said the following about her title win with Alexa:

“I would not have had tagging with Lexi on my 2025 bingo card. I really mean that. When I was sitting at home for a year, I didn’t think, ‘Oh man, I really want to come back and tag with Lexi and win the Tag Titles.’

For me, it’s kind of like this is what needed to happen. Sometimes the best things come out of nowhere and aren’t expected. That’s what this is. It’s very organic. I don’t think anyone thought this was going to be a thing or that it would work, and it is. That’s when sometimes the best things happen… aren’t planned. That’s what it feels like.

Honestly, the 10 years I’ve been here, tonight felt like a top-3 moment. I’m not just saying that. I didn’t expect this or want this. Dang, I didn’t even think I was going to be on SummerSlam after WrestleMania. So, I was very much directionless.

I was like, ‘Damn, I came back and gave it all and I don’t know what’s next.’ Here is this little five-feet of furry like, ‘Hey, what’s going on with you? Come hang out with me.’ ‘No.’ Then here we are at SummerSlam, and it was like, damn, even after 10 years and everything I’ve done, this felt really freaking cool. It felt cool.”

• Triple H Comments On Jelly Roll’s Future After SummerSlam Loss

At SummerSlam 2025 – Night 1, Jelly Roll made his WWE in-ring debut. He teamed up with Randy Orton to lose to Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre. Logan pinned Jelly.

During the post-show, Triple H praised Jelly’s performance and the work he put in, and said the following about his future:

“I don’t think I can stop him (from returning for more matches). He’s already talked to me about coming back, he’s already talked to me about doing more. We’ll see when the time is right and you know, when you have that level of respect for people, then you wanna see them be able to have that opportunity again so, we’ll be talking and we’ll see what he can do. I’m sure he’s got some payback coming for Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre. So, we’ll see.”

Jelly Roll said the following about his debut match:

“It’s right up there next to marrying my wife and the birth of my child. Literally, the greatest show I’ve ever done. It feels right up there with the first time I played the Ryman Auditorium or the Grand Ole Opry. It was spiritual. It was special. Even getting my a$$ kicked a bunch. It’s funny to get your butt kicked and still feel kind of good about it. I’m sore, I’m hurt, but I’m not injured. I was a kid tonight. That’s the shoot on it. 12-year-old Jelly just exploding inside.”
