• In the main event of last night’s AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door 2024 PPV, Swerve Strickland defeated AEW International Champion Will Ospreay to retain the AEW World Championship.

This was Ospreay’s first pinfall loss in All Elite Wrestling.

As a result, Beyond Wrestling announced that Lio will not be participating in their Americanrana show on July 4th, where he was scheduled to face Aaron Rourke.

The injury occurred during a high-stakes ladder match for the vacant TNT Championship, which featured Lio, Konosuke Takeshita, El Phantasmo, Jack Perry, ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe, and Dante Martin. Despite a valiant effort from all competitors, Jack Perry emerged victorious and won the Title.
