8. Reason Behind Shane McMahon Wrestling At Survivor Series 2016
As seen on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live, WWE did an injury angle with Baron Corbin and he was taken off SmackDown Live’s Men’s Survivor Series 2016 team. SmackDown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan then noted that SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon will replace Corbin in the team.
The reason behind WWE making this move is that it will generate more interest in this match and towards the PPV. It is interesting to note that Shane McMahon being announced for a match at WrestleMania 32 earlier this year resulted in a huge amount of increase in WWE Network subscriptions.
