• “WWE seems like a parody of wrestling at times” – Top AEW Star
At Starrcast during All In: Texas weekend, Bryan Danielson praised the product that AEW has put out in recent months:
“I haven’t had much to do much of anything to do with creative in AEW for a while, but I think the AEW shows for the last several months have just been incredible. I watch the product every week at home and I just think that the people that are, the wrestlers, the people involved in the creative, everybody’s doing just such a great job.
Listen, I’m not afraid to be critical of a creative process. When I was in WWE I would say like, ‘okay sometimes this feels like a parody of wrestling to me.’ I wrote that in my book that was put out by WWE. WWE seems like a parody of wrestling to me at times. I thought the last several months of AEW have been really good.”
• “In WWE, fat singers can beat up the wrestlers” – WWF Veteran On Jelly Roll
At SummerSlam 2025, Jelly Roll will have his WWE debut match. He will team up with Randy Orton to take on Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre in a tag team match. Jim Cornette isn’t a fan of Jelly Roll wrestling in a WWE ring and said the following about him on his podcast:
“Jelly Roll, who’s a former giant, you know, Martin the Blimp Levy level fat f**k, but is now just a regular fat f**k that you see walking around the streets. So, this is what we come up with or come up against with the AEW versus WWE weekend, the complete opposites. And sometimes you’re embarrassed to be a wrestling fan and watch either one of them.
The AEW matches never end. And the guys in a lot of cases aren’t even professional. The WWE guys are professional and you barely see any of the f**king match.
In AEW, nothing can beat anybody. And in the WWE, fat f**king singers can beat up the wrestlers. And in the WWE, the singers interrupt the wrestling. And in AEW, the best part of the f**king show is the singers interrupting the wrestling.”

• “I don’t like crying, but I couldn’t help it” – Top WWE Star On Triple-Separated Shoulder Injury
In the first episode of WWE Unreal, fans will get a raw look at Rhea Ripley moments after suffering a triple-separated shoulder injury. Speaking with Robbie Fox, Ripley reflected on the vulnerability of that footage.
“I do feel like I need to portray that I am tougher in a way,” she admitted. “I don’t like crying too much in front of cameras and all that, but I couldn’t help it because I was just like so vulnerable and just so upset at the situation.”
She also noted she wasn’t aware of everything being filmed at the time. “My brain was absolutely everywhere in that current situation. I remember people coming into the room and all that, but I don’t know what’s been filmed. So, I’m very intrigued to see it.”
• Why Bruce Prichard Was “Begging” CM Punk During RAW’s Netflix Debut
CM Punk says confusion behind the scenes during WWE RAW’s Netflix debut led to his main event match against Seth Rollins running over its time, despite his efforts to stay on schedule. In an interview on My Mom’s Basement podcast, Punk recalled being caught in the chaos of WWE’s first Netflix taping. “I thought I hit my time,” he said. “Bruce (Prichard) was begging me. He’s like, ‘Get us out at this time.’ And I was like, ‘No problem, man.’”
Punk claimed he made major cuts to his match to meet the timing. “I wound up cutting a ton of stuff. They mentioned the stuff you cut. It’s real inside baseball. I hate it.”
He added that the Netflix setting gave some backstage the wrong idea. “Because that was the first Netflix show, everybody had this super lackadaisical like ‘we’re on Netflix.’ Everyone thinks we could go three or four hours. We can’t.”
Punk stressed the importance of keeping shows tight. “To me a show length is pretty paramount. Like I don’t want to do anything for three hours. I don’t care if it’s my favorite movie. You could always find ways to trim the fat.”
