• WWE’s New Plan For Omos Revealed
WrestleVotes reported the following about Omos today: “WWE creative has discussed sending Omos to AAA for a run, similar to his brief NOAH stint this past winter. Per source, the idea is to further establish him as a true special attraction outside the WWE bubble.”
Earlier this year, Omos had a short run in Japan in Pro Wrestling NOAH, where he won the GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Titles alongside Jack Morris. Omos last competed in WWE in last year’s Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal on SmackDown on April 5, 2024. Prior to Royal Rumble 2025, Omos relinquished the GHC Tag Team Title and gave it to Daga under the Freebird Rule, and announced that he’s returning to WWE. However, Omos didn’t return to WWE TV.
During an interview with Gambling Industry News in June, Omos revealed that he has signed a new multi-year contract with WWE. Here’s what the former RAW Tag Team Champion said:
“Things are going very well. Can’t complain. I’m really excited about what is to come. I’ve been training really hard and working on some new things and I think it’s going to be a really fun ride ahead, especially because I just signed a renewal with WWE and will be there for years to come!”
• Jelly Roll Chokeslams Logan Paul On Jimmy Kimmel Live (Video)
At SummerSlam 2025, Jelly Roll will team up with Randy Orton to take on Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre in a tag team match. Jelly Roll hosted Jimmy Kimmel Live last night and interviewed Orton. Drew McIntyre interrupted them. McIntyre said: “This man, Jelly Roll, right here, he lost over 200 pounds working his a$$ off. You truly are an inspiration to trailer trash all across the world, brother. I just want to know, after you lost all that weight, how did it feel to finally see your little tootsie roll for the first time in 20 years?”
This led to a brawl breaking out between Orton and McIntyre. Logan then came out and slapped Jelly, which led to Jelly chokeslamming Logan through the table. You can watch it below:

• Is Goldberg Headed to AEW Out of Spite? Here’s What Ariel Helwani Said
Ariel Helwani didn’t expect drama when he sat down to interview Bill Goldberg, but what he got instead has fans questioning whether Goldberg’s WWE retirement is as final as it seemed. Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Helwani admitted he was caught off guard by Goldberg’s mood in their conversation. “I will be 1,000% honest with you. I was not expecting that,” he said. “I got the sense maybe that because the post-match interview got cut off, that maybe he was a little perturbed.”
Goldberg’s dissatisfaction came as a surprise to Helwani, especially given how elaborate the sendoff was. “It’s very rare to get an opportunity like that,” he noted. Ariel even complimented the overall production, saying that the involvement of familiar faces like Doug Dellinger and Josh Barnett was “an amazing touch.”
But even with that polished farewell, Helwani wasn’t quick to dismiss Goldberg’s feelings. He referenced a past experience of his own working at ESPN, where a dream job turned out to be “awful.” Drawing a parallel, he said, “To us, we could sit around and be like, ‘you know why you got it? Go shut up.’ And he’s like, ‘No, I had other plans.’ I have a hard time telling someone how he should feel.”
Ariel also pointed to something personal that could have affected Goldberg’s mindset. “He mentioned his father-in-law passed away a week ago,” he said. “Maybe he’s still dealing with that, he’s going through some stuff and I have a hard time faulting him for feeling that way.”
Helwani also mentioned the possibility that Goldberg was working an angle. “I will say at one point I was like, ‘Is he working me right now? Is this like, part of the story that he’s upset?’” he wondered aloud. “Maybe he does pop up in two weeks on AEW and say ‘these guys screwed me’ and all that stuff, you know, where workers work, so who knows? I’m not putting that one past them either.”
