CM Punk was recently fired from Tony Khan’s All Elite Wrestling, after yet another violent backstage incident, this time with “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry at the AEW All In pay-per-view in London, UK.

Soon after he was gone from AEW, speculation began that he might return to WWE at some point, but as long as Vince McMahon has something to say, that seems highly unlikely after basically walking out on them in early 2014, when he simply refused to go to work for a while, before McMahon fired him.

But is there a realistic chance of CM Punk going to IMPACT Wrestling, formerly known as Total Nonstop Action! (TNA)?

Here’s what WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley (aka Bully Ray) said on an episode of ‘Busted Open Radio’:

“1000% I’d hire him. I think Punk needs to be in an environment that he is completely comfortable in and I know for a fact he was not completely comfortable in the WWE and then whatever went down in AEW.

If you were to put CM Punk in IMPACT Wrestling, IMPACT’s stock would go up. I think that IMPACT and Punk could do some great business together and bring some eyes to the product.”

CM Punk wrestled for World Wrestling Entertainment from 2006 until he refused to show up to work anymore in early 2014, which got him fired a few months later.

Phil Brooks then tried his luck in mixed martial arts (MMA), but after 2 UFC undercard-fighters defeated him pretty easily, Dana White didn’t give him another chance to fight in his promotion.

Punk then joined Tony Khan’s All Elite Wrestling in 2021 and managed to win the AEW World Title twice (and got injured during both reigns), but got suspended over a backstage brawl that took place after the All Out 2022 PPV.

He eventually returned to television on June 17th 2023 on the debut episode of AEW Collision, before finally being fired on September 2nd after another incident, this time at the All In UK pay-per-view.
