11-Time World Champion Teases Returning For A WWE Match

Below are some top WWE news stories of the day.

• During an interview with No Contest Wrestling, NXT star Roxanne Perez was asked which legends she’d love to face at WrestleMania.

She quickly named Trish Stratus, Lita, Chyna, AJ Lee, and Mickie James as her top five choices. However, when considering realistic possibilities, Perez pointed to Stratus and James as the most likely matchups that are still possible.

James tweeted the following after hearing what Perez said:

“You gonna make me dust off my working boots @roxanne_wwe.”

Mickie is an 11-time World Champion in WWE & TNA. Her last WWE match was the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble. Her last match in TNA took place in 2023. In 2024, she only wrestled 3 matches, on the indy circuit.

She is currently signed to WWE, where she’s a coach on the LFG (Legends & Future Greats) series.

• WWE EVOLVE will have its own championship when it debuts on Tubi in the U.S. on March 5, airing Wednesdays at 8 PM ET. The first tapings took place in early February, with the next set scheduled for February 21 at the WWE Performance Center.

According to PWInsider, the WWE EVOLVE Championship has already been created and will be introduced at the upcoming tapings.

The show will feature WWE developmental talent and independent wrestlers from the WWE ID program, with Gabe Sapolsky leading creative.

Sapolsky, who previously ran EVOLVE as an independent promotion, oversaw this championship once held by stars like Drew McIntyre, Zack Sabre Jr. and Swerve Strickland.
