• 2 AEW Stars Claim They Are Better Than “Old Farts” Ricky Steamboat & Ric Flair

On AEW Collision, Tony Schiavone announced on commentary that WWE Hall of Famers Ric Flair and Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat will be in attendance for the Blood & Guts special edition of Dynamite on Wednesday.

This will be the first time both legends appear on AEW programming since Sting’s last match at Revolution 2024. They got involved in The Icon’s bout that night, with Steamboat even serving as the Special Guest Timekeeper.

After the announcement, Ricochet took to X to say that he’s better than both of them: “I’m better than both these old farts. #Ahaa”

AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Moné quickly joined in and replied: “Me too! #UltimoMone”

Speaking of The CEO, she’ll team up with Triangle of Madness and Marina Shafir against AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander, “Timeless” Toni Storm, Willow Nightingale, Harley Cameron and Mina Shirakawa in the first-ever Women’s Blood & Guts match.

• “I am not a scammer” – Ridge Holland Clarifies GoFundMe Controversy

Former WWE wrestler Ridge Holland has issued another statement addressing the ongoing discussion surrounding his GoFundMe campaign. The 37-year-old clarified that he does not plan to donate the GoFundMe money he received, despite some fans believing that was his intention.

Holland further explained that once he has recovered from his injury and begins earning again, he plans to donate money from his future income to charity, not from the fundraiser itself. In a post shared on X, he wrote:

“I AM NOT DONATING THE GO FUND ME MONEY!

Once I am earning money and in a position to donate I will donate to charity. This will be the money i earn not the go fund me money.

I am not a scammer.”

His clarification comes after a post from earlier today, in which he apologized for not being aware that the GoFundMe page had gone live and requested that no further donations be accepted. The campaign, started by a family member following his WWE release, had received contributions from several wrestlers.

The former NXT Tag Team Champion was released from WWE earlier this month, days before his contract was set to expire. He has been recovering from a severe foot injury sustained during a match at a TNA taping and has since been open about his financial struggles.

• Nixon Newell Had a Disagreement With Dominant AEW Star

Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize walked out of AEW Collision on November 8th after objecting to creative plans for the show. Reports indicate that the Tag Team was unhappy with being allotted only around three minutes for their match against Tay Conti and Anna Jay. Others within the company claimed that the pair didn’t want to lose consecutive matches in AEW.

The situation reportedly stemmed from issues dating back to their debut match the previous week, where they faced Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir. According to Fightful Select, Newell and Bayne had a disagreement regarding how that tag team match would be structured. Sources said Bayne appeared frustrated during the bout due to a lack of cooperation in certain moments.

It was also noted that word spread backstage suggesting Newell wasn’t pleased with how the match was laid out, particularly with Bayne not selling for her and Alize, which is what AEW officials wanted given Bayne’s current push as a dominant competitor. Another source added that Newell seemed eager to end the match quickly because of how the setup had gone.

When reached for comment, Newell denied the reports, saying that there was no disagreement and that only she and Miranda truly know what happened.

During Collision, Alize posted on X that the duo had “so much to say,” while Newell later told fans to not believe everything shared online.
