Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day.
• During an interview with WFAN, Seth Rollins was asked about a possibility of a Shield reunion at WrestleMania 41.
Rollins said that won’t happen since Jon Moxley is in AEW as their current World Champion, while him and Roman Reigns will remain in WWE forever:
“Look, one of our guys is over in the other company. So he ain’t coming. And Roman Reigns and I are here for life. Look, our paths are gonna be intertwined. We’re gonna crisscross here and there until both of us are done and retired.
So you never know. You never know what WrestleMania is going to look like. You never know what next month is going to look like. Could be anytime.”
• WrestleVotes recently reported that former WWF Tag Team Champions The Natural Disasters, Earthquake (John Tenta) and Typhoon (Fred Ottman), are scheduled to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year.
During an interview with Bill Apter, Ottman (who also played the infamous Shockmaster character in WCW) confirmed this news and said Bruce Prichard called him to inform him about the induction.
Here’s what Ottman said:
“Thank you. It is an honor. It was crazy when I got that phone call and they told me that. Mr. Prichard called me. He’s an awesome guy. I couldn’t believe it. I was like, wow, what an incredible thing. I always say there’s so many guys that are so worthy to be in there that aren’t yet. For this to happen, it was just amazing.”
While Ottman is 68 years old, John Tenta passed away in 2006 at the age of 42.
So far, Triple H, Michelle McCool, and Lex Luger have been officially announced as the inductees for the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2025.
The ceremony will take place at the BleauLive Theater in Fontainebleau Las Vegas on April 18.
