• 2 Top WWE Stars Will Miss Backlash 2023
WWE is done with WrestleMania 39 and the next premium live event is going to be Backlash 2023 in San Juan, Puerto Rico on May 6th.
Former SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair is taking a break from WWE after losing her title to Rhea Ripley, so she won’t be working Backlash.
Another top star that’s going to miss this PLE is Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
At first, it was rumored that Roman and Cody would’ve collided again at this event, but in a tag team match. However, WWE is moving away from this feud for now due to Brock Lesnar turning heel and going after The American Nightmare.
Here’s what the Wrestling Observer reported about The Tribal Chief’s status:
“Reigns will not be on the San Juan card, or at least that wasn’t the plan on Monday, but he will be doing other major events over the next few months.”
