On June 23rd, IMPACT Wrestling (fka TNA) taped their upcoming episodes, themed as ‘SummerSizzler’ at the Center Stage in Atlanta, Georgia.
Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling taped a lot of their weekly ‘NWA World Championship Wrestling’ / ‘WCW Saturday Night’ episodes at the same venue between 1989 and 1996.
During these IMPACT tapings, WCW Veteran Jobber Chic Donovan – who in 1979 started as a professional wrestler in Georgia – lost to Johnny Swinger, but WCW Veteran Ernest ‘The Cat’ Miller came out and restarted the match, that Donovan ended up winning.
