Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, involving Hulk Hogan, Roman Reigns and Shotzi.

• During an episode of his Kliq This podcast, 2-time WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash talked about The Rock turning heel and Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship being announced for WrestleMania 40.

Below are the highlights:

The Rock turning heel:

“People forget how good of a f***ing heel Rock was, and people also forget how quick in Toronto (at WrestleMania 18) Rock made the adjustment on Hogan when the building made the adjustment with Hulk.”

Why he thinks Roman Reigns will defeat Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL:

“I think that they’re going to want for Roman to be of the modern generation, the longest champ. I think they want to erase the Hogan era, they do.

I think they want to start basically clean from that era. If you ever are going to do that, you’re about 200 days away from it right now.”

Roman will surpass Hulk’s 1984-1988 WWF Championship reign if he holds the title until September 13.

• After last night’s NXT went off the air, WWE taped next week’s episode of NXT.

One of the matches being taped was Lyra Valkyria vs. Shotzi for the NXT Women’s Championship.

This match got stopped due to Shotzi suffering a serious knee injury. The injury occurred when she went for her apron DDT.

We’ll keep you updated regarding her situation.
