3 people were shot dead inside a movie theater during the screening of John Cena’s latest movie: Trainwreck.
Police have confirmed that three people have died, including the gunman, and seven were injured in the shooting.
Below is what Variety reported:
“Described by officials as a 58 year-old white male, the man reportedly stood up about 20 minutes into a screening of “Trainwreck” and began firing his handgun into the audience. He later shot and killed himself. According to Craft, the shooter has a criminal history that dates back several years. Police identified the shooter’s car and the area was evacuated after a suspicious package was found inside. A bomb squad was called to the scene.”
According to reports, Police know the identity of the shooter but haven’t released the name publicly yet. Variety also reports that the deadly Louisiana shooting came less than week after a jury in Aurora, Colorado found James Holmes guilty of first-degree murder in the movie theater shooting that killed 12 people on July 20, 2012. He faces the death penalty.
