• 3 Reasons Behind WWE Title Match Being Moved From PPV To Tonight’s RAW
On last week’s episode of RAW, Bobby Lashley vs. RAW Tag Team Champion Randy Orton for the WWE Championship was made official for the Extreme Rules 2021 pay-per-view.
Also on this episode, Lashley & MVP won the Tag Team Turmoil to become the #1 contenders, and earned a RAW Tag Team Championship match against RK-BRO on the next episode.
However, that isn’t the case anymore.
Lashley vs. Orton for the WWE Title will now take place on tonight’s RAW.
No mention of their Extreme Rules PPV match or the RAW Tag Team Championship match was made.
Here are the 3 reasons why this WWE Title match was moved from Extreme Rules to tonight’s RAW:
1. Competition from NFL’s Monday Night Football.
2. AEW Dynamite beat WWE RAW in the 18-49 demo ratings last week.
3. With a normal WWE Title match taking place tonight, they can do a rematch with some extreme stipulation at the Extreme Rules 2021 PPV.
