2. Is Samoa Joe the inventor of “Muscle Buster” move ?
Chris Jericho said that Joe’s move Muscle Buster is pretty impressive and asked him if he invented that move. Joe freely admitted that he stole that move from someone else and modified it a little bit.
Most of the things in wrestling are taken from others, Joe said. He said that he saw a wrestler named Mohammed Yone use that move in NOAH and he felt that he needed to have a unique finisher that no one in the United States had seen or used.
So he modified the move to dropping to his back rather than his rear. Joe says he was “relatively sure” that he would get over with the crowd by using that move. Jericho says that no one in WWE has tried to steal it yet, but Joe refused and pointed out that Cody Rhodes used that move for a while, mentioning how he was very respectful and asked Joe beforehand.
