When WWE announced that NXT would be part of the brand war at Survivor Series this year, many thought that we would be getting a Triple-Threat match between the WWE, Universal and NXT Champion. However, that will not be the case as Brock Lesnar will be defending the WWE Championship against Rey Mysterio at the event.
Although The Beast facing Bray Wyatt and Adam Cole is not an option anymore, WWE could just have The Fiend face Adam Cole at Survivor Series. This year’s brand war is more about the supremacy between the main roster and NXT, so Wyatt could just work Survivor Series as the face of WWE.
RAW and SmackDown could both agree on The Fiend going after Cole as he’s the most dangerous superstar in the WWE right now. Moreover, it would give a lot of exposure to Cole and even NXT as The Fiend is the hottest thing going on in WWE right now.
The Universal Champion facing the NXT Champion would be a dream match for many and it could prove to be a great contest. In addition, it will be something fresh for the fans as they haven’t seen a main roster champion facing a champion from NXT in years.
