• 4-Time NFL Super Bowl Champion Wants To Wrestle The Rock

During a recent interview with TMZ Sports, NFL Legend Rob Gronkowski revealed that if he ever decides to go back to WWE and wrestle, he would want to either team up with WWF Legend The Rock or actually wrestle against him in a singles match.

Here’s what Gronk said:

“There would definitely be a tag team match. No doubt about that. I just love that tag team aspect of everything.

You know, it’s my first time, so I really wouldn’t want to be on my own doing a one-on-one match. I’ll be able to get help. You know, grow into that role of maybe going doing a one-on-one match after a couple of tag teams.

My tag team partner can help me out with those moves and all that good stuff. But who would it be [against]? I’m getting put on the spot. It’d be pretty cool to have The Rock come back and either face The Rock or have him as my tag team partner.”

After 3 SuperBowl wins (2015, 2017 & 2019) with the New England Patriots, NFL Legend Rob Gronkowski hosted the WWE WrestleMania 36 pay-per-view that aired on April 4th & 5th 2020, which unfortunately had to be taped at the WWE Performance Center without an actual crowd due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

On the second day of the event, Gronk actually managed to capture the WWE 24/7 Championship by pinning his friend, former Green Bay Packers defensive lineman, WWE Superstar Mojo Rawley.

Rob eventually lost the title to R-Truth in a taped segment on June 1st 2020, thus becoming the (at that point in time) longest reigning 24/7 Champion in a single run.

He then went on to win yet another SuperBowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021 and retired from Professional Football for good.
