5 More WWE Wrestlers Released, 22 Names Gone In Total

Yesterday was a day of mass releases in WWE. The last 5 names that were released are Performance Center recruit Daniel McArthur and NXT wrestlers Ikemen Jiro, Kevin Ventura-Cortez, Alexis Gray and Brooklyn Barlow.

Jiro’s last WWE match will air on tonight’s episode of NXT Level Up, where he will face Luca Crusifino.

Below are the statements from the other 4 names stated above:

Daniel McArhur: “As of today, my journey with WWE has ended. It was a great journey and got to meet a lot of great people. Truly a blessing but now onto bigger and better thing! Stay tuned to what’s next. Thank you to everyone who made my WWE experience amazing.”

Kevin Ventura-Cortez: “Thank you WWE for the opportunity of a lifetime — going to have to take a step away. But I’ve only just begun. Because these eyes, they never lie.”

Alexis Gray: “At the end of the day I PUT IN WORK. Everyday that I went in that place. I have never wrestled in my whole life but that did not stop me from showing that I can be one of the world’s greatest superstars. Now that I’ve found this new passion I won’t stop. I’ll just take another way.”

Brooklyn Barlow: “As of today, I am no longer with NXT. Grateful to have experienced the WWE Universe and everything that comes along with it. The two most important days of your life are the day you are born and the day you find out WHY. Thank you.”
