WWE usually brings back a legend for their big four PPVs every year. Although we’ve seen fewer legends compete at SummerSlam over the past couple of years, this year WWE might need to book one of them in a match, due to low ratings, and also the rising threat of AEW.
The Undertaker was rumored to compete at SummerSlam this year, but recent reports suggest otherwise. Since The Phenom won’t be at SummerSlam this year, WWE can use Goldberg as an alternative. He’s one of the most decorated wrestlers in history, and will surely add a lot of star power to the SummerSlam match-card.
Not only will this help WWE to increase the star power of the show, but it will also catch the attention of most old school and casual WWE fans. Moreover, Goldberg’s presence at SummerSlam will make the show more significant.
His powerful approach and the massive excitement he brings to a wrestling ring would make him a great addition to any card, SummerSlam in particular. It is a night where the crowd is on a whole other level in terms of reactions and noise, and Goldberg is one of the very best in drawing reactions out of a crowd.
