1. Sting vs The Undertaker
… Well, not exactly the Deadman yet, but the match of these 2 Wrestlers did happen once in 1990.
Shortly before debuting in the World Wrestling Federation as The Undertaker, “Mean” Mark Callous, who was already on his way out of Ted Turners World Championship Wrestling and had already given his notice, had to replace Barry Windham in the Main Event on the card of an untelevised House Show Event.
So he took Barry’s place on September 01, 1990 in the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina, challenging NWA World Heavyweight Champion Sting for the title.
Needless to say he came short in winning it, but this ultimate dream match did actually happen.
Sure Taker didn’t have his gimmick yet, but hey, it’s better than nothing … shame there is no video footage existing, not even a Fancam recording.
