2. Paul Heyman Responds To Cain Velasquez’s Attack On Brock Lesnar
The Beast Incarnate squashed Kofi Kingston on SmackDown’s premiere on FOX to become the new WWE Champion. Lesnar’s win against Kingston in such a dominating fashion was pretty shocking, but what happened after that was even more shocking.
While The Beast and his advocate Paul Heyman were celebrating his title win, Rey Mysterio came out with Lesnar’s worst nightmare by his side, who was Cain Velasquez. Velasquez wasted no time and went after The Beast to take him down. However, Lesnar retreated safely which was a very rare thing to see.
Velasquez and Lesnar have a long history between them. The 37-year-old Mexican TKOed Lesnar to win the UFC Heavyweight Championship in 2010. WWE is reportedly planning to have a rematch between the two at Crown Jewel this month.
While the WWE Champion might not be there on SmackDown, his advocate will be there for the Draft. There’s a huge possibility that Heyman confronts Rey Mysterio for bringing out Velasquez and even lay down a challenge for a bout between the two former UFC Champions.
