On this day in 1987, the World Wrestling Federation aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘WWF Superstars of Wrestling’.

This episode was pre-taped from the Civic Center in Peoria, Illinois and featured matches & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WWF Survivor Series 1987’ PPV.

After this week’s AEW Dynamite went off the air, Cody Rhodes (who was already in the ring as he was a part of the brawl in the main event segment) thanked the fans for being behind them and put over his brother, Dustin Rhodes, for being an amazing performer even at the age of 50.

– Unsanctioned Lights Out Match: Kenny Omega def. Joey Janela

In the dark match that took place before AEW Dynamite went on the air on TNT, Kip Sabian defeated Sonny Kiss and Peter Avalon in a triple threat match.
