6. Andrade Drops The United States Championship
El Idolo defeated Rey Mysterio to capture the United States Championship last December, at a house show at Madison Square Garden. The first month of his reign went pretty well.
His downfall as the champion started after the Royal Rumble pay-per-view this year. First, he got suspended for violating WWE’s Wellness Policy, and later on, he got injured just a month after his return from suspension.
He was set to compete in the RAW Tag Team Championship match at WrestleMania 36 alongside Angel Garza, but a rib injury caused him to be pulled out of the event. It is unknown when he will return now.
WWE hasn’t been doing much with the United States Title since Andrade became champion, so it might be time they take it off him.
There’s a possibility that he faces off against someone in a short match, and drops the Title. Perhaps against Aleister Black or a newcomer from NXT. If he isn’t able to compete, we might see him getting stripped of the Title, with WWE announcing a tournament for it this month.
