Today would have been the 83rd birthday of Old School Wrestling Veteran King Curtis Iaukea (Real name: Curtis Piehau Iaukea III).

Most of you Old Schoolers will most likely remember Curtis Iaukea for being a manager after his active in-ring career was over.

During the mid-80s, he joined the World Wrestling Federation as ‘The Wizard’ to manage Kamala & “Wild Samoan” Sika.

In 1995, he appeared as evil manager ‘The Master’ of ‘The Dungeon of Doom’ faction in Ted Turner’s WCW.

• RAW Wrestler May Be Out Of Action For Over A Year

On last week’s episode of RAW, The Viking Raiders’ Ivar injured his neck during an 8-man Tag Team match when he performed an outside dive on The Hurt Business.

He’s set to undergo neck surgery in Birmingham, Alabama today, per the Wrestling Observer.

The Wrestling Observer also noted that Ivar may be out of action for a year or even longer after his surgery.

On the other hand, WWE has no significant plan for Erik. He might be used in random angles to job to other wrestlers, or just be asked to sit at home.

Last night on RAW, United States Champion Bobby Lashley defeated Erik in a singles match.
