• The Rock Once Told A WWF Diva That She Could Be The Female Rock
WWF Attitude Era Diva Trish Stratus recently appeared as a guest on former WWE announcer Renee Young’s podcast, called Oral Sessions, and remembered a conversation between herself and fellow WWF Legend The Rock.
Here’s what Trish had to say:
“But also you have to remember this was a time where there wasn’t really women doing it. So you wouldn’t be like ‘that’s what I want to do.’ I maybe could look to The Rock and say, ‘that’s what I want to do. And is that realistic? I’m not sure, because it’s seems like it’s never really been done so far.’
Then I remember The Rock said to me one day, ‘you know, you can be the female Rock.’ And I was like, ‘oh my god. Okay, I’m going to do that. Yes.’”

Cindy Lauper was the sweet lady that was responsible for its success, as she did a lot of cross promotion between main stream MTV Music and the World Wrestling Federation back in the mid-80s.
Her biggest claim to fame was having quite a few WWF Superstars in her music Videos, and accompanying Wendi Richter to her match at WWF WrestleMania 1, where Wendi ended up winning the WWF Women’s Championship.
