• BREAKING NEWS: NJPW Star Suffers Injury In The G1 Climax Final
In the NJPW G1 Climax Final today, Kazuchika Okada defeated Kota Ibushi via referee stoppage to win the tournament.
Ibushi went for a Phoenix Splash, but ended up injuring his arm. The referee was then forced to stop the match. NJPW announcer Kevin Kelly said Ibushi might have dislocated his shoulder.
It looked like the trainers put his shoulder back in place and Ibushi wanted to continue, but the NJPW officials didn’t allow it.
With this win, Okada will challenge for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 16 in January 2022.
