• Tony Khan Reveals When Jon Moxley Told Him His Decision Regarding Alcohol Treatment Program

As everyone knows by now, former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley is entering an inpatient alcohol treatment program.

AEW President Tony Khan appeared on Wrestling Observer Live today and had the following to say about this situation:

“It’s actually good circumstances, because it’s a good thing that he’s doing, it’s a brave thing and we’re all here to support him.

It was in the last couple of days, talking to him and Renee, you know, Renee is taking to him and Renee spoke to us and said you know they both thought this was the best way to go and talking to both of them we agree.

I think that there are some things more important than wrestling. In this case the most important thing we can do now is support Jon and his recovery.

There are a lot of announcements about tonight’s show that I had been holding off on making, because I really wanted to show respect to Jon and I felt that announcing matches didn’t make sense when we had such an important announcement to make earlier in the week. So, I’ve held back.”
