• Former WWE United States Champion Set To Make His AEW Debut In A Title Match On Tonight’s Dynamite

As we reported earlier, FTR is set to defend the AAA Tag Team Championship against a luchador tag team on tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

However, they have a stipulation – AEW World Tag Team Champions Lucha Brothers can’t be the challengers.

AEW President Tony Khan appeared on Wrestling Observer Live and announced that FTR will face the team of Samuray Del Sol and Aerostar.

Here’s what he said:

“They will not wrestle the Lucha Bros, they want to take on other masked Luchadors to prove that FTR are the greatest Lucha team of all time. They will not wrestle the Lucha Bros, so I went out to get the best Luchadors to face FTR, so FTR are going to defend the AAA Tag Team Titles against Samuray Del Sol and Aero Star. Yep. Breaking news.”

For those who don’t know, Samuray Del Sol is former WWE United States Champion Kalisto, and this is going to be his AEW debut.
