• Current Favorites To Win The 2022 Royal Rumble Matches (Spoiler)
The Royal Rumble 2022 premiere live event will take place on January 29. The road to WrestleMania 38 will officially begin here.
WWE has sold 32,000 tickets for this event so far.
As of this writing, Big E is the favorite to win the Men’s Royal Rumble match, while Bianca Belair is the favorite to win the Women’s Royal Rumble match.
Belair also won last year’s Royal Rumble and main evented Night 1 of WrestleMania 37, where she won the SmackDown Women’s Championship from Sasha Banks.
Her SmackDown Women’s Title reign was ended by Becky Lynch in an impromptu match at SummerSlam 2021. WWE wants to revisit this rivalry for WrestleMania 38, as reports suggests that Becky vs. Bianca for the RAW Women’s Championship is scheduled to take place at WrestleMania 38.
On the other hand, the original plan for WrestleMania 38 was for Seth Rollins to defend the WWE Championship against Big E, as Rollins was scheduled to win the WWE Title at Day 1, but plans changed at the last minute and Brock Lesnar ended up winning the Title.
No word yet on who Big E might face if he actually ends up winning the Rumble.

On this day in Pro Wrestling history on January 24, 1993, the World Wrestling Federation aired their annual ‘Royal Rumble’ event LIVE on PPV from the ARCO Arena in Sacramento, California.
This marks the very first Royal Rumble with the rule that the winner of the actual Royal Rumble match wins the right to wrestle the World Champion at WrestleMania.
This rule has been used in every single Royal Rumble match since that day.
Giant Gonzalez (former WCW Wrestler El Gigante) made his WWF debut that night, when he attacked The Undertaker.
