• WWF/WCW Legend Takes Credit For John Cena Wearing Oversized T-Shirts On WWE TV

During a new episode of his weekly ‘Kliq This’ podcast, Old School WWF/WCW Legend ‘Diesel’ Kevin Nash stated that back in the day he influenced John Cena to wear oversized T-shirts on WWE TV, so when he throws them into the audience, the fans would think he’s even bigger than he already is.

Here’s what Big Daddy Cool had to say:

“When they would hand out the nWo shirts, guys would be like ‘give me a medium’, because they’d want it skin f**king tight.

I’d always tell them to give me a 3X or the biggest I could get because I told John Cena and he asked me for advice and I said ‘Always wear a baggy t-shirt, especially if you’re not going to work in it because when you take it off, there’s that ‘holy f**k (from the audience), that guys got a good physique’, as opposed to f’ing having a t-shirt sprayed on you.

If you look, throughout his career, he always wore the oversized t-shirt. I think when you really look at his entire career, that’s probably the most important thing. That big f’ing t-shirt.”

Kevin Nash & John Cena were both on the WWE roster at the same time in 2002 and 2003 (aside from a few months in 2011), because Kevin Nash ended up working for Dixie Carter’s Total Nonstop Action! (TNA) from 2004 to 2010.
