• Update On Whether Cody Rhodes Will Become A Part-Timer Due To Upcoming Movie
As we have reported before, WWE Superstars Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes will be in the upcoming Street Fighter movie. Reigns will play “Akuma,” while Rhodes will play “Guile.” Shooting for this movie will begin in August and it will take place in Australia. This has begun speculation that both men won’t be available on WWE programming due to their filming schedule.
According to Fightful Select, Roman is already on a very limited WWE schedule, so that isn’t going to change much due to the movie’s filming. As for Cody, he’s expected to maintain as many regular appearances as possible, as being a full-time wrestler is a big part of his character.
The American Nightmare, who recently won the King of the Ring tournament, will challenge John Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship in the main event of SummerSlam 2025. The Tribal Chief’s return is imminent and he’s scheduled to have a big match at SummerSlam as well.
