Drew McIntyre didn’t hold back when describing the intelligence level of today’s WWE roster during his appearance on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast. “Does that… intelligent people in a locker room full of freaking morons?” Drew said while discussing how rare it is to find like-minded people in the business.
Logan Paul echoed the sentiment, calling Drew “deceptively intelligent,” and admitted the wrestling industry isn’t known for being intellectually rich. McIntyre agreed but said the stereotype has persisted for a reason. “It’s changing slightly as time goes by,” Drew admitted. “But people still have that perception.”
He said he’s trying to change that image by being vocal and taking part in platforms that show off more than just muscles. “Let me get in the environments where I can show, we’re not a bunch of morons. We’re actually, you know, college educated. We can string sentences together. We know how to build a brand.”

Former Women’s Tag Team Champion Isla Dawn didn’t feel blindsided by her WWE release earlier this year – in fact, she saw it coming. In a recent interview with Fightful, Dawn shared that she wasn’t surprised when her name ended up among those let go by the company back in February. She described being at SmackDown the night before, sensing the atmosphere shift as rumors of releases began to circulate. Even before she heard anything official, Dawn texted a friend and said she had a hunch she was next. While her friend tried to reassure her, Isla couldn’t shake the feeling – she just knew it was her turn.
Dawn put it all in perspective, saying that in wrestling, being released at some point is almost inevitable for most talent. For her, it wasn’t a dramatic or emotional shock; more like something she was mentally preparing for as her time with WWE ran its course.
As of now, Dawn is a free agent and making the rounds on the independent circuit, with persistent rumors that AEW might have their eye on her for the future. Isla’s WWE tag team partner, Alba Fyre, is currently in a tag team with Piper Niven. They are Chelsea Green’s Secret Hervice.
