• Hulk Hogan Died Mid-Secret Project With WWE
Just a day after Hulk Hogan’s sudden passing at the age of 71, a new report has revealed that Netflix was already deep into production on a docuseries chronicling the wrestling legend’s life and career. According to Hollywood insider Matthew Belloni in his Puck News newsletter, Netflix had quietly teamed up with WWE and production company Words + Pictures for the project. The docuseries, directed by Bryan Storkel and produced by Connor Schell, features over 20 hours of newly recorded interviews with Hogan himself – all completed before his death.
“The Hulkster died mid-documentary,” Belloni wrote. “Hulk Hogan, who died today at 71, will be remembered for mainstreaming pro wrestling and bringing down Gawker. He also left behind an unfinished docuseries on his life that Netflix has quietly been working on since last year, per sources.”
The streaming giant has not yet announced a release date for the series.
This isn’t Netflix’s first venture into the world of pro wrestling. The Hogan project follows their docuseries on Vince McMahon and arrives just before the debut of WWE: Untold, scheduled to premiere on July 29.
• Hulk Hogan’s Final Business Is Booming After His Death
Following Hulk Hogan’s death, fans across the country are paying tribute to the wrestling icon in a uniquely fitting way – by clearing shelves of his signature beverage, Real American Beer. According to TMZ, demand for the beer has surged dramatically since news broke of Hogan’s passing, with customers grabbing multiple 12-packs and 24 oz. cans wherever they can find them. “Around the country, there has been a run on the beer and people are walking out with multiple 12 packs and 24 oz cans, leaving the shelves bare,” one insider told TMZ.
Retailers from New York to Florida and beyond are struggling to keep up, and the company behind Real American is working overtime to replenish supplies. “Fans want to cheers to Hulk,” a rep said, “and celebrate his incredible legacy.”
Launched in June 2024, Real American Beer was one of Hogan’s latest ventures – a proud, patriotic product bearing the same name as his iconic WWE entrance theme. Just before the brand’s debut, Hogan announced plans to acquire Hooters, after the restaurant chain filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in March.
Despite Hogan’s passing, Real American CEO Terri Francis says the Hooters deal is still very much alive. “Hulk was a passionate entrepreneur who believed in the power of American-made brands and products, and the power of bringing communities across America together,” Francis said in a statement to TMZ. “Real American Beer will carry forward his vision and mission with the same passion and purpose – and that includes his desire to bring Hooters into the Real American family.”
Francis also added that the brand is committed to continuing Hogan’s legacy through future campaigns and tributes, allowing fans to stay connected to the man behind the beer.

• “I won’t be celebrating the death of anyone” – AEW Wrestler On Hulk Hogan’s Death
AEW wrestler Lio Rush, who also had a run in WWE, tweeted the following about Hulk Hogan’s death:
“I’m not going to jump in on the hate train. It doesn’t fulfill me in anyway. I won’t be celebrating the death of anyone. It’s lame. If you have a personal opinion strong enough that you feel the need to share with the world on a day someone lost their life while family and friends mourn, that’s on you.
If you were a kid watching hogan, you were dropping the leg, hulking up, waiving the finger, ripping off a shirt your parents bought you or playing air guitar to NWOs music.”

• Adam Pearce Fires Back At Fans For Posting Negative Comments About Hulk Hogan
As previously reported, WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce issued the following statement on Hulk Hogan’s death:
“I grew up in Chicagoland watching the AWA pre-cable via tin-foiled rabbit ears. The Incredible Hulk Hogan vs. the World Champion Nick Bockwinkel with Bobby Heenan. Original Hulk-a-Mania. Magic. I loved it.
Fast forward a million years. April 4, 2013. Jonesboro, Arkansas…
I’m working the first of two dates for TNA. Trying to get hired on as an agent (thank you again, Bruce Prichard). Wrestled a match against a talent I really liked and that they wanted to hopefully feature. It didn’t go well. I took the blame because I was senior…
I sit down to watch the rest of the matches, and Hulk sits next to me. Eric Bischoff next to him. Hulk asked me what I thought. I answered honestly.
He told me what he thought. I’ll always appreciate his words…
Over time people do many things, become loved and hated, rinse-and-repeat for those things, and if we’re all being honest, the emotions are warranted…
It is impossible to overstate the impact that Hulk Hogan had on our industry and the countless people that got into it because of him. In a roundabout way, I’m one of them. Heenan was my idol, but when he was opposite Hogan it was the magic I fell in love with…
Godspeed, Hulk Hogan. Thank you for all of the good. Thank you for your candor in a moment where I doubted myself. All love to his family, friends, and those lives he touched along the way. Rest well, sir.”
When Pearce’s post got negative comments from fans, Pearce wrote:
“If you’ve come here to post negativity about Hulk Hogan on the day of his passing, you’ve missed the point of my page.
If your opinions are hate-filled or fueled by vitriol, and you’re wholly entitled to have whatever opinion you want, save it for YOUR platforms.
We all feel how we feel, we’re human. And we all see things the way we choose, it’s our personal choice. I’m not telling anyone how or what to feel. Location I have some say in.
I don’t care if you hated him or loved him, both emotions were earned. That said, this is NOT the location for the placement of negativity. Respect it.
Thanks,
-AP”
